This Baltimore startup can get you a better warranty for your new gadget

“Dealing with disgruntled customers who were frustrated with their product insurance and warranties was a way of life for Luke Cooper when he worked as in-house counsel to State Farm.

 

That’s why he and Christopher Garvis set out last year to improve the process of getting a warranty for your newest gadget. Their Baltimore startup, Peach, in late 2014 closed a seed fundraising round worth about $500,000 and has spent early 2015 rolling out Sweet Warranties, a website and app where customers can shop for warranties. The app is available for Apple devices; the company is developing an Android version.”
