Boomtown Partners with Comcast NBCUniversal to Launch Startup Accelerator “The Farm” in Atlanta

The Farm - EntryBoomtown is excited to announce the official launch of The Farm Startup Accelerator, our newest endeavor in partnership with Comcast NBCUniversal!

What is The Farm?

Based in The Battery adjacent to Atlanta’s SunTrust Park, The Farm will offer a variety of programs to support and nurture selected startups, including a 12-week program powered by Boomtown Accelerators.

The Farm Startup Accelerator will open applications for its first class later this summer, and the inaugural program will launch in early 2018. The accelerator will focus on mobility, connectivity and communications companies while also actively considering other breakthrough opportunities that can take benefit from the Comcast/Boomtown partnership.

Comcast tapped Boomtown to develop and manage The Farm because of the accelerator’s unique structure and approach. Boomtown constantly evolves its curriculum based on feedback from participating founders and mentors and strives to provide a complete business and management curriculum. Boomtown’s goal is not simply to provide the shortest distance between an idea and funding, but instead to support entrepreneurs in building great companies.

The Farm is part of Comcast NBCUniversal’s LIFT program, which stands for “Leveraging Innovation For Tomorrow” and builds on the spirit of entrepreneurship created by Comcast’s founder, Ralph Roberts.
